In search of Solitude !!!

Solitude...a dictionary defines it as "the state of being or living alone" . Not the same as loneliness although. Loneliness is more of a depressing feeling of being isolated and absolutely alone, without company.....all by yourself. But solitude to me speaks of absence of those others, when you can be with yourself. You are not lonely when you have YOU for company. And others could be people, friends...or thoughts...bad , ugly and disturbing ones.
Absence of all this, with only the awareness of your being is what Solitude could be.

All my life, I have had this strange feeling of loneliness...as if there's more to my life, like I am missing out on something, something very important. As if something is absent from my life. I don't know what it is, but I do know that there's this huge void somewhere, that needs to be filled. And somehow, I've felt that no matter what I do, wherever I go, this void goes with me.

I feel that we all have some Higher purpose to our lives. For some it could be to be rich and famous, or to be a great leader, to be social activist or to be a great dancer...musician and many such. I have not yet discovered my Higher purpose of life but I do hope that this awakening would come to me sometime soon maybe in that Solitude.

Solitude and loneliness are different aspects of life.... and as per my experience , they have a purpose...
people strive hard to harder to get rid of their loneliness....the more they get .. the more it increases... there is no end to this feeling.. it does not mean we should not try to achieve goals in our lives... we should certainly... but loneliness... it wont go...it is something related to our mind and satisfaction...if we are satisfied with what we have... our mind will be at peace...we will enjoy everything around us... and then even if we have no one to company us... share feelings with us... we will not be lonely... we will be the happiest person on earth...
